Wood Construction

Meet the Architect in Dornbirn: April 23–24, 2026

Wood Construction: Climate-friendly. Modular. Forward-looking.

Following its debut in Vienna in November 2025, the second edition of Meet the Architect will take place in spring 2026 in Dornbirn. On April 23 and 24, the curated B2B trade fair will be hosted at Messequartier Dornbirn—this time with a strong focus on the potential of timber construction. At the heart of the event: climate-friendly building with regional resources, innovative technologies, and forward-looking architecture. The program highlights both technical advancements and design perspectives that define a more sustainable, material-conscious building culture.

Construction, Digital und Design

The focus of the Dornbirn edition is on the main theme of “wood construction” – the potential of wood construction as a climate-friendly, resource-saving, and forward-looking construction method. From innovative design solutions and regional value creation to creative approaches, the trade fair offers a compact overview of how wood as a building material opens up new perspectives for sustainable architecture.

Three Core Zones: Construction, Design, Digital
Meet the Architect is organized into three focus areas that reflect key facets of modern building practice. The Construction Zone spotlights innovative materials and energy-efficient solutions for renovation and reuse. The Design Zone features high-quality interior products—from lighting to surfaces—that elevate both form and function. The Digital Zone presents cutting-edge tools like BIM, planning software, and immersive technologies that drive smart, efficient renovation.
